Important information

Diagnosis includes analysis and checks for the specific fault. Reading fault codes is the first step; the time required to establish the cause depends on the necessary measurements and tests. We do not offer a brief code-reading and clearing service on its own.

XENTRY Remote Diagnosis

Where the vehicle is technically compatible and the owner has given explicit authorisation, we can carry out an initial remote assessment before the workshop visit. This provides a clearer starting point and helps us prepare the next diagnostic steps more precisely.

Scheduled maintenance

The maintenance scope is determined by the vehicle display, service code, mileage and the vehicle's individual equipment specification.

Every operation follows the procedure for your vehicle.

At ServiceMB, maintenance and repairs are based on official Mercedes-Benz workshop documentation. For every vehicle and every operation, we use WIS (Workshop Information System), the manufacturer’s system for technical information and workshop procedures.

WIS: the right instructions for the individual vehicle

Before starting work, we identify the vehicle by its VIN and check the applicable documentation for its model, engine, transmission and equipment. WIS provides the sequence of operations, required checks, technical values and instructions for removal, installation and adjustment.

For scheduled maintenance, we determine the required work from the service code, mileage, elapsed time and applicable manufacturer requirements. Maintenance therefore covers the operations specified for the individual vehicle, rather than simply an engine oil change. We apply the same approach to the repairs we carry out in our workshop.

The system includes step-by-step instructions, technical descriptions, wiring diagrams and maintenance schedules. Mercedes-Benz updates the documentation as procedures change and new models are introduced. This allows us to check the current instructions for the work ahead.

Oils, fluids and service materials to manufacturer specifications

Using WIS and the specifications referenced in the workshop documentation, we identify the required oils, operating fluids and other service materials. We check the specified Mercedes-Benz standards and approvals, quantities, and filling and level-check conditions for the particular unit.

We select service materials according to these requirements. For oils, we consider both viscosity and the required manufacturer approval; for other fluids and materials, we follow the specification for the relevant system. Each service is therefore carried out with the appropriate products and the prescribed procedure.

Digital Service Booklet: preserving the maintenance history

For every vehicle that supports the Digital Service Booklet (DSB), we enter the completed maintenance in the official Mercedes-Benz digital service record. We record the date, mileage and service operations within the scope provided by the system.

The entry remains part of the vehicle’s electronic service history, allowing completed maintenance to be traced at future visits. This provides continuity in the maintenance record and clear information for the owner.

The data is held in a central Mercedes-Benz database with controlled access. The system generates a digital service report as evidence of the recorded maintenance, which can be printed and provided to the owner. The information is therefore preserved electronically, independently of a paper service booklet.

Spark plugs, belts, pulleys, operating fluids and seasonal checks
Inspection of brakes, suspension, tyres, lighting and the air-conditioning system
Electronic system diagnostics and a final quality check
Entry in the Digital Service Booklet (DSB) where the vehicle and service meet the applicable requirements

Automatic transmissions

Automatic-transmission servicing, including applicable EQ Boost and hybrid configurations, in accordance with the procedure for the exact transmission variant.

Transmission fluid, filter, seals and all applicable service materials
Specialised MAHLE equipment and dedicated adapters
Ultrasonic or specified level measurement, depending on the prescribed procedure
Diagnostic check, adaptations and evaluation of transmission operation
Servicing of differentials, transfer cases and final drives

Electronics and PicoScope

When a fault code is not sufficient, we measure and analyse the electrical cause while the system is operating.

Suspension and steering

Air suspension (AIRMATIC)

We have diagnosed and repaired Mercedes-Benz air-suspension systems for more than ten years. We check pressure loss, ride height and compressor operation, and refurbish air springs where their condition permits.

Repair and refurbishment of suspension air springs
Checks of compressor, valve block and air lines

R1234yf air-conditioning systems

Servicing of air-conditioning systems using R1234yf refrigerant.

What the service includes

Identification and purity check of the refrigerant
Recovery, recycling and evacuation of the system
Vacuum-phase monitoring and metering of oil and UV tracer where required
Charging with the exact quantity specified for the vehicle
Controlled and traceable automated service procedure

Engine and fuel system

Diagnostics and repair based on the established cause and condition of the vehicle.

What the service includes

Diagnostics of petrol and diesel engines
Fuel system, EGR, DPF and SCR/AdBlue diagnostics
Cooling system, leaks, gaskets and seals
Testing of sensors, boost-pressure and exhaust systems
We do not carry out complete engine rebuilds or internal engine overhauls

Brake system

Measurement, repair and maintenance with close attention to safety and manufacturer tolerances.

Brake discs, pads, calipers, hoses and brake fluid
Diagnostics of ABS, ESP and electric parking brake systems
Run-out measurement and assessment of hubs and mating surfaces
Bleeding and diagnostic actuation where required
Final road test and diagnostic check
